Bangkok Airways adds exit screening points at three airports

People's Daily (Bangkok) - Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited has increased precaution measures to ensure passenger safety and to prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) by adding exit screening points with handheld thermoscan at both domestic and international departure halls of its own airports in Samui, Sukhothai and Trat as part of the measures by the Department of Disease Control, said the Ministry of Public Health.

The airport has set up additional screening points for passengers, employees and outsourced personnel. Samui Airport has added screening points at domestic and international departure halls since March 13, 2020. A total of seven screening points have been installed at designated areas.

The Sukhothai Airport has added screening points for passengers at domestic departure hall on March 12, 2020. Airport staff are also required to pass the screening point at a designated registration area before going to work.

The Trat Airport has added two screening points for passengers at the domestic departure hall on March 12, 2020. They are located at the check-in area and at the entrance to common area connected to arrival hall. All airport personnel are required to pass the screening point at the designated registration area to start work.

If any passenger or employee is found with a high body temperature or suspected of COVID-19 symptoms, the staff shall coordinate with the airline and airport medical services and notify public health officers at the port immediately.
