Traditional Chinese lion dance serves as the opening number for the event.

"Beijing is an ancient capital city with a history of over 1,000 years, an international metropolis featuring inclusiveness and opening-up, as well as a hub for China's politics, culture, international exchanges and technological innovation," said Wang Qing, a senior official at BJTA. "China welcomes more friends from Thailand to Beijing for tours and to experience its internationalization, brilliant ancient culture, unique oriental charm and modernization."
