United Nations (People's Daily) - China will always reject hegemonism and bullying practices, and oppose self-proclaimed supremacy and power politics, said Zhang Jun, the Chinese permanent representative to the United Nations, at the UN Security Council’s high-level Open VTC on "Climate and Security" on Friday.

Ambassador Zhang said that looking at today's world, everyone can see that some country's irresponsible and crazy acts of unilateralism and bullying practice are causing greater danger.

 “Should this go unchecked, international rule of law, equity, justice, equality and mutual trust will no longer exist, and the world will descend into absolute chaos”, Zhang said. “We must stand together and fight back.”

Ambassador Zhang emphasized that no matter how the world may evolve, China will always side with multilateralism and international justice, firmly uphold the international order based on international law, reject hegemonism and bullying practices, and oppose self-proclaimed supremacy and power politics. China will work closely with other members of the international community to build an open, inclusive, clean and beautiful world that enjoys lasting peace, security and prosperity for all.
