State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi examined the boundary stones of China and Vietnam with Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh on Sunday.

The foreign ministers also traced in red ink over characters printed on each county's first boundary stone as they attended an event that commemorated the 20th anniversary of delimitation of the China-Vietnam boundary on land as well as the 10th anniversary of setting up pillars to demarcate the border.

According to a press release, the two sides agreed that they will remain true to their original aspirations and make new progress to carry out new cooperation and bring the bilateral comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to a new level.
