Phuket (People's Daily) -- On Friday, Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, Lyu Jian, met with Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, Weerasak Kowsurat, after a boat capsized off the island of Phuket – killing dozens of Chinese tourists.

Lyu proposed to save the lost passengers at any cost and that rescue efforts need to be restarted at 6 am the next day to find the remaining lost and dead. He also proposed an investigation to see what could have caused such a catastrophe.

Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-Cha said his country is making every possible effort to find the rest of the missing passengers, and instructed the relevant departments to uncover the cause of the capsize.
