Paris (People's Daily) -- The French Ministry of Health and Solidarity announced that as of Saturday, there were 336 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the country compared with 24 hours earlier.

There is now a total of 949 diagnosed cases, of which 45 were severe and 16 were fatal.

At present, 67 departments in France have been affected.
