With the upcoming conference on Asian Civilizations, parades and a food festival are planned in Beijing from May 16 to 22.
Asian Civilization Parade
Beijing Olympic Park will host a costume parade every morning and afternoon. A total of 16 foreign and 28 domestic performance troops will sing and dance, while proceeding along the park's landscape avenue.
Also in the parade are vehicles with paper decorations of symbolic architectures and cultural symbols of Asian countries. Featured graffiti walls are also set on the scene to liven up the atmosphere.
Entry to the venue should be booked on damai.cn, with the daily cap of 7,000. You'd better be quick to secure a seat.
Asian Cuisine Festival
After watching the parade, you are recommended stay longer to visit eight exhibitions that feature the cuisines of countries such as Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan.
You can also feel how technology changes the traditional catering industry by experiencing the intelligent service with the application of virtual reality and artificial intelligence.
Unable to go to the Beijing Olympic Park? Don't worry!
Several business districts across Beijing will treat you through various cuisine activities with online and offline discounts! They are China World Mall, Solana Lifestyle Shopping Park, Hopson One, Chaoyang Joy City, Golden Resources Shopping Mall, and Huaxi Live Wukesong.
The Conference of Dialogue on Asian Civilizations is scheduled to begin on May 15.
