CAIRO, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- The death toll from a multi-car crash and the ensuing explosion in central Cairo rose to 19, Egypt's Health Ministry said in a statement.

Earlier report said that at least 16 people were killed and 21 others wounded after a multi-vehicle crash and the ensuing explosion on Monday in central Cairo.
