Deputy commander of ISIL group in the northern region of the war-battered Afghanistan has been killed, a police spokesman in the northern region Sayed Sarwar Hussaini said

"The deputy commander of the terrorist group of ISIL who used several names including Mullah Sarwar and Qari Rauf to hide his identity was killed in a clash with security forces in Darzab district of the northern Jawzjan province on Sunday night," said the spokesman, adding that five more militants were also killed in the crackdown.

Without mentioning the possible casualties of security personnel, Hussaini described Mullah Sarwar as infamous, saying ISIL militants would lose more grounds after the death of its deputy commander in the northern region.
