DUBAI, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) has signed a strategic partnership deal with the Saudi Arabian travel group Seera to strengthen the tourism demand from the kingdom.

The partnership between Dubai Tourism and and Almosafer, Seera's travel brand which recorded more than 100,000 bookings from Saudi travellers to Dubai in 2018, will see promotional opportunities, said a statement issued by Dubai Tourism on Monday.

Almosafer will offer incentives to promote Dubai as a top destination to enable the United Arab Emirates city to grow as a key destination for Saudi tourists.

Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Tourism, said Saudi Arabia remains the second source market of Dubai in the first quarter of 2019.

"Our partnership with Seera will further support our ongoing strategy to attract more visitors from the region year-on-year, with diversified packages at competitive prices," he noted.

Commenting on the partnership, Abdullah Bin Nasser Aldawood, CEO of Seera, expected to "offer the best travel experience and most competitive pricing on trips to Dubai."

"Dubai is a very popular destination for our customers, with more than 4.2 million searches completed on Almosafer digital platform in 2018 for Dubai's flights and hotels," Aldawood said.
