Cairo (People’s Daily) -- Egypt confirmed 39 new cases of COVID-19 and including five fatalities on Monday, according to a statement from the country’s Health Ministry.  The total number of confirmed cases has hit 366 with the death tally standing at 19, while another 68 have fully recovered.

Senior Egyptian military official Major General Shafie Abdel Halim Dawoud died the same day he was treating COVID-19 victims, local media reported.
