Cairo (People’s Daily) -- 46 new cases of COVID-19 and one new fatality were confirmed in Egypt as of Thursday evening.

The 46 new cases include 4 foreigners and 42 Egyptians, said a statement from the country’s health ministry.

The latest fatality was a 68-year-old man who died in a quarantine hospital in Giza governorate on Thursday.

The number of cases has risen to 256 with the number of fatalities at 7, while 28 people have recovered.
