Egypt reports 86 new cases of COVID-19, 6 new deaths

Cairo (People’s Daily) -- Egypt confirmed 86 new cases of COVID-19 and six fatalities on Thursday in a statement issued by the country’s health ministry. 

The COVID-19 death toll has risen to 58 and the total number of confirmed cases nationwide has reached 865. So far, 201COVID-19 patients have been discharged from hospitals. 

The number of infections in Egypt will increase by next week, the country’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said during a press conference and added that the situation will be under control. 

Egypt has set up 1,000 mobile clinics capable of providing service in COVID-19-affected areas, Madbouli said, adding that they will be used to conduct virus testing.
