In addition to the overseas Chinese delegation and Chinese-funded enterprises in Egypt actively launching fund-raising initiatives, overseas students and some other individuals in Egypt have also spontaneously purchased supplies to support the motherland's fight against the epidemic.

The shipment includes 130,000 medical masks. It was sponsored by the Egyptian Chinese Association and the China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful National Reunification in Egypt.

The masks will arrive at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport on the morning of February 5. They will enjoy tax-free customs clearance, and be transferred to Zhejiang and Jilin provinces on the same day to two hospitals in urgent need of emergency medical supplies.

The association will also continue to organize procurement in the near future, and strive to deliver a second shipment of supplies including protective suits, goggles and masks to China on February 11.

Sichuan Airlines has provided free freight for most of the supplies that have recently been donated to China, while Sinotrans has provided customs clearance service.
