BANGKOK, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Thailand on Monday reported 73 new COVID-19 cases, mostly domestic, and one fatality, according to the Center for the COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).

Of Monday's new cases, 66 were reported as domestic infections while seven others were imported cases, the CCSA spokeswoman Apisamai Srirangsan said.

Of those domestic cases, 33 were confirmed in Samut Sakhon, 21 in Bangkok and six in Pathum Thani, among other provinces, Apisamai said.

The fatality, confirmed as the 91st so far in Thailand, was a 60-year-old Thai man, who reportedly had lung cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure, she said.

Thailand has so far confirmed a total of 27,876 cases of infection, 24,892 of which were domestic infections while 2,984 others referred to those who had returned from abroad and tested positive in this country.

So far, 26,663 patients have fully recovered and been released from hospitals while 1,122 others are currently hospitalized and 91 fatalities have been reported.
