Globally, as of 3:59 pm CEST on Saturday, there have been 28,329,790 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 911,877 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 193,701 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 6,486,114, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 3:26 pm BJT on Sunday.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 4,754,356. The death toll grew to 78,586.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 4,315,687. The death toll grew to 131,210.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 1,053,663 with 18,426 deaths.

It is followed by Peru with 716,670 infections and 30,470 deaths, Colombia with 708,964 infections and 22,734 deaths, Mexico with 663,973 cases and 70,604 deaths, South Africa with 648,214 cases and 15,427 deaths and Spain with 566,326 cases and 29,747 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Argentina have increased to 546,481 with 11,263 deaths.
