The Chinese Embassy in the Philippines said two people tampered with their COVID-19 test reports, changing the results from positive to negative, so they could fly back to China.

The action violated China's epidemic prevention laws and regulations, and caused great harm to the health and safety of other passengers and crew members on the same flight, and has also interfered with domestic epidemic prevention work.

The embassy has informed China's domestic public security department of the two people's nucleic acid testing fraud, and relevant personnel will be investigated for corresponding legal responsibility.

The embassy reminds people to strictly abide by the laws and regulations of China and the host country on epidemic prevention, adding altering and falsifying nucleic acid test reports is illegal in both the Philippines and China and will be severely punished by law.
