HONG KONG, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 jolted 189 km SE of Kokopo, Papua New Guinea at 14:08 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 36.33 km, was initially determined to be at 5.3187 degrees south latitude and 153.6743 degrees east longitude.
