TOKYO, May 13 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands around the 107.17 yen level in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 107.17-18 yen, compared with 107.10-20 yen in New York and 107.55-57 yen at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0845-0846 dollars and 116.23-27 yen against 1.0843-0853 dollars and 116.18-28 yen in New York and 1.0815-0817 dollars and 116.32-36 yen in late Tuesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
