Thanks to the donations from Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation, China has dispatched two chartered flights to Timor-Leste to help Timorese people fight the COVID-19 epidemic within a month, said Xiao Jianguo, Chinese ambassador to East Timor. The supplies included face masks, medical gloves, personal protective equipment (PPE), face shields, testing kits, handy thermometers and ventilators, which were urgently needed by Timor-Leste.

Dionísio Babo, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of East Timor, thanked China on behalf of the Timorese government. He believes that with the sincere help of the international community, especially the Chinese government and enterprises, Timor-Leste will win the fight against COVID-19 at an early date.
