7.4-magnitude quake hits 36 km N of Barranca, Peru:USGS

BEIJING, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 jolted 36 km N of Barranca, Peru at 1052 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 99.0 km, was initially determined to be at 4.5 degrees south latitude and 76.7 degrees west longitude.
