Chinese giant pandas Ru Yi and Ding Ding are very popular with local people at the Moscow Zoo in Moscow, capital of Russia.

Ru Yi, in a clean and sunny private area, sometimes splashes in the pool, or plays on the ground to have fun. He also climbs on a jungle gym to show his agility, or struts like a model on a catwalk, drawing laughter from visitors.

Staff of the Moscow Zoo have prepared two indoor and outdoor suites for Ru Yi and Ding Ding, complete with thermostats and humidistats, as part of their efforts to carefully look after the pandas in all aspects, including their diet, daily routines and all other aspects.

The arrival of the two giant pandas at the Moscow Zoo in 2019 marked the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia. Ru Yi and Ding Ding, symbolizing friendship between the two countries, have gained popularity in Russia over the past four years. A famous Russian expert surnamed Lomanov has said that the Chinese giant panda is a miracle of nature. "People are very fond of these pandas. When we see them, we will think of Russia-China friendship," he said.
