Cairo (People’s Daily) -- Egypt’s Health Ministry issued a statement that said 168 new COVID-19 cases and 13 fatalities on Thursday.

The number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 2,673 with the number of fatalities at 196, and 596 full recoveries. 

At a press conference on Wednesday, Minister of Planning Hala El Said stated there is an 80 percent chance that measures containing COVID-19 would last until September.
