Over 30 drones shot down over Russia's Voronezh region overnight

MOSCOW, March 13 (Xinhua) -- The Russian air defense forces overnight destroyed more than 30 Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Voronezh region, which caused minor damage to infrastructure and housing, Governor of the Voronezh region Alexander Gusev said Wednesday.

"During the night, more than 30 drones were detected and destroyed by air defense systems in the region. According to operational data from the sites where the remains of downed objects fell, there is minor damage to infrastructure and housing in several municipalities," he wrote on his social media channel.

According to the governor, a private house and a transformer substation were damaged in the Buturlinovsky district, and the roof of a store was partially destroyed in the Sovetsky district of Voronezh.

"There are no casualties. All services are already on the ground. We will provide assistance with restoration in full and in the shortest possible time," Gusev noted.
