Indonesian rescue team finds black box of crashed aircraft

JAKARTA, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- An Indonesian joint search and rescue team has found the black box of the ATR 42-500 aircraft that crashed on the slopes of Mount Bulusaraung in South Sulawesi.

Dody Triyo Hadi, a military officer involved in the rescue operation, said on Wednesday that when the rescue team arrived at the crash site, the black box was found intact inside a section of the aircraft's tail.

The ATR 42-500 aircraft, carrying 10 people, including three passengers, crashed on Saturday on the slopes of Mount Bulusaraung after taking off from Yogyakarta for Makassar.

So far, the rescue team has recovered two bodies, and is still searching for the remaining victims.
