Several injured in train-truck collision in Japan's Hokkaido

TOKYO, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Several people were injured after a train collided with a truck on Monday in the city of Nemuro in Japan's northern prefecture of Hokkaido, local media reported.

Hokkaido Shimbun reported that the accident occurred at a railway crossing in the city. The truck driver was seriously injured, and multiple passengers on the train suffered minor injuries.

The train was a single-car train bound for Nemuro from Kushiro, with 18 passengers and crew on board at the time, the report said.
