MOGADISHU, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- The United States has ramped up strikes in Somalia recently, according to the United States Africa Command.

In coordination with the government of Somalia, U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) conducted airstrikes targeting al-Shabaab militants on Jan. 25-26, AFRICOM said in a statement.

In another statement, AFRICOM said it conducted airstrikes targeting ISIS-Somalia on Jan. 23-24, also in coordination with the country's government.
