SYDNEY, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- A man was fatally shot by police following a stabbing incident on the Mid North Coast of the Australian state of New South Wales, local media reported on Friday.

The man was fatally shot by officers from the Manning Great Lakes Police District, and a woman was stabbed in a related incident, according to ABC News.
