WASHINGTON, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. military struck one more alleged drug-trafficking vessel in the eastern Pacific on Monday, killing two people aboard, according to the U.S. Southern Command.
"Two narco-terrorists were killed and one survived the strike," the command said in a post on X, adding that the vessel was operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations and engaged in narco-trafficking operations.
The U.S. forces have launched at least 37 known strikes against alleged drug smuggling boats in the Caribbean and the eastern Pacific since early September, killing nearly 120 people.
