Thailand forecasts over 4 mln air passengers during Spring Festival holiday

BANGKOK, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Over 4.11 million passengers are projected to travel through its six major airports during the upcoming Chinese New Year festival, signaling a robust recovery in the aviation and tourism sectors, according to Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT).

During the Spring Festival period, from Feb. 13 to 22, the airport operator expects to handle 2.6 million international passengers and 1.51 million domestic passengers across its network, with total aircraft movements estimated at 24,847 flights, said AOT President Paweena Jariyathitipong on Monday.
