DAR ES SALAAM, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Tanzanian Prime Minister Mwigulu Nchemba on Tuesday met with the national committee for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to review progress on preparations for the continental tournament to be jointly hosted by Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.

The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's sub-office in Dar es Salaam, where Nchemba commended the committee for significant progress and a positive direction in the ongoing preparations.

He emphasized the importance of inclusive participation across sectors, calling on ministers, permanent secretaries and other senior officials to actively involve their respective sectors in the preparations.

Nchemba also urged committee members to fully oversee their assigned areas to ensure that all preparatory steps are completed on schedule and meet required standards.
