BEIJING, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 jolted Ryukyu Islands, Japan at 2148 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 25.72 degrees north latitude and 128.62 degrees east longitude.
