The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is now ensnared in another partial government shut down.
This, after lawmakers left town for a one-week recess without any deal on how to reform the Trump administration’s handling of federal immigration enforcement and fund the agency for the rest of the 2026 fiscal year, which ends in September.
