"We strongly condemn this criminal act that brings grief to a Colombian family and demonstrates the contempt of illegal armed groups for human life and dignity," national police director William Rincon Zambrano said on X.
Two children were among the victims, Secretary of Security and Justice of the Antioquia Department Luis Eduardo Martinez said, adding that investigations are underway.
Andres Julian Rendon, the governor of Antioquia Department, also sent condolences to families of the victims, calling for more intense military operations against organized crime groups in the region.
