TEHRAN, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Iran's former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was killed in a U.S.-Israeli attack here on Saturday, the Iranian Labour News Agency (ILNA) reported.

Ahmadinejad, who was also a member of Iran's Expediency Discernment Council, was targeted at his residence in eastern Tehran, the report said, adding that some of his bodyguards were also killed in the attack.
