At an official ceremony to mark the International Women's Day, she urged Mexican women to continue "moving forward together" and building "a Mexico where no woman has limits; a Mexico where equality is an everyday reality; a Mexico where history, talent and the vocation of every woman always find a space to flourish."

As the country's first female president, Sheinbaum called for the construction of fairer, more inclusive institutions free of discrimination, harassment and violence.

The president highlighted women who are part of the Armed Forces, recognizing their courage and commitment in key tasks such as aviation, civil protection and decision-making, and praising them for opening the way for many Mexican women.

She presented awards to representatives of women for their exemplary work in different fields.
