Fire in UAE's oil zone brought under control after interception debris falls

DUBAI, March 9 (Xinhua) -- Authorities in the emirate of Fujairah, on the east coast of the United Arab Emirates, said Monday they had brought under control a fire in the oil zone caused by falling debris following air defense interceptions.

Officials said emergency teams responded quickly and managed to contain the blaze, and no injuries were reported.

Authorities also urged the public not to spread rumors and to rely only on information from official sources, adding that updates would be provided if there were further developments.
