The corporation's Managing Director Mayura Neththikumarage said vehicles with number plates ending in an even number or zero can buy fuel on even-numbered days, while vehicles with number plates ending in an odd number can obtain fuel on odd-numbered days.

Neththikumarage said the measure aims to regulate fuel distribution more effectively and manage demand at filling stations.

He also announced a special arrangement for vehicle owners who have so far been unable to download the QR code required to obtain fuel. According to Neththikumarage, those vehicle owners will be given a special opportunity on Thursday to obtain fuel even without the QR code.

The move comes as authorities work to resolve QR code-related issues and streamline fuel distribution nationwide.
