BEIJING, March 20 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted South Shetland Islands at 0022 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 61.15 degrees south latitude and 56.57 degrees west longitude.
