NEW YORK, March 24 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed Tuesday morning after a shooting near the Indian River County Main Library in Vero Beach in the U.S. state of Florida, police said.

The Vero Beach Police Department said officers responded to a shooting around 7 a.m. local time at the parking lot of the library.

Two people, a male and a female, were found dead at the scene, police said.

There is no threat to the public, authorities said, and search warrants are currently being served in connection with the shooting.
