MOSCOW/KIEV, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Russia and Ukraine reported drone attacks from each other Saturday, both claiming numerous interceptions.
The Russian air defense shot down 155 Ukrainian drones overnight, said the Russian defense ministry.
"From 23:00 Moscow time (2000 GMT) on March 27 to 07:00 Moscow time (0400 GMT) on March 28, active-duty air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 155 Ukrainian drones across multiple regions in western Russia," it said.
Air defense systems shot down two drones en route to Moscow, said Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, adding that "emergency services personnel are working at the debris impact site."
The ministry also said the Russian forces carried out a massive strike and five group strikes on Ukrainian military-related targets in the past week, adding that 3,138 Ukrainian drones were downed during the period.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's Air Force said Russia launched 273 drones targeting the country from 18:00 Kiev time (1600 GMT) on Friday, with 252 downed or suppressed as of 07:30 Kiev time (0530 GMT) on Saturday.
It added that 18 locations were hit, with falling debris reported in multiple areas.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that as of 08:00 Kiev time (0600 GMT) on Saturday, 181 combats were recorded over the past 24 hours.
