According to the report, two people lost their lives and five others were injured after floods triggered by heavy rainfall hit eastern Laghman province and western Herat province earlier in the day.
In a separate incident, a child was killed when a landslide struck an area in northern Afghanistan's Sar-e Pul province.
The recent downpours and ensuing floods have also caused widespread damage in several provinces, destroying homes as well as agricultural lands and orchards.
Authorities have urged residents, particularly those living in vulnerable and flood-prone areas, to remain cautious as adverse weather conditions continue to pose risks.
