The directive, issued on Monday, aims to strengthen electricity conservation and promote the development of rooftop solar power.

The government leader called on ministries, sectors, localities and the public to achieve nationwide electricity savings of at least 3 percent in 2026.

He also urged faster expansion of self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar systems, with priority given to installations at government offices, production, business and service establishments, and households.
