According to Tolo, the collapse claimed the life of one child on the spot, while the injured child was immediately taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment. The incident occurred shortly after heavy rainfall and flash floods affected parts of the province.

Authorities have urged residents in vulnerable areas to exercise caution and move to safer locations if their homes are at risk amid recent heavy rains and flooding.
