US-Iran talks underway in Islamabad

Islamabad (People's Daily) - The US-Iran peace talks began on Saturday in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, according to the Pakistani Prime Minister's Office.

The US-Iran talks started after Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif had a separate meeting with the US and Iran delegation crews that afternoon. Shehbaz Sharif expressed the hope that the talks would serve as a stepping stone toward durable peace in the region.
