The 2026 Sanya Asian Beach Games is set to open on Wednesday, with final preparations completed ahead of the ceremony.

Two rehearsals for the opening ceremony had been conducted, and all eight competition venues along with the training facility were ready for use.

The Athletes' Village opened on April 18, featuring 1,644 rooms prepared to accommodate up to 3,500 people.

On the same day, the Main Media Center also opened to support international coverage of the Games.

A total of 4,680 volunteers were deployed to support operations, while more than 200 merchandise items had been made available for sale.

Approximately 65,000 tickets across 10 sports had been released as China prepared to host the Asian Beach Games for the second time, following the 2012 edition in Haiyang, Shandong Province.

The opening ceremony was scheduled to take place at the Sanya Asian Beach Games Park.
