JAKARTA, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and several others injured after a long-distance train collided with a commuter train in Bekasi City, West Java, Indonesia, on Monday night, local media reported.

Video footage circulating on social media showed officers evacuating injured passengers from the scene.

The injured were taken to hospitals for treatment, according to media reports.

"Currently, all efforts are focused on evacuating passengers and crew, as well as treating victims at the scene, with safety as the top priority," said Anne Purba, a communications officer from the train operator KAI.
