ISLAMABAD, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam said on Sunday that Pakistan's mediation efforts remained intact to end the U.S.-Iran conflict.
In an interview with the official IRNA news agency, the envoy said that Iran's new negotiation plan aimed at ending its conflict with the United States was delivered to Pakistan recently as the main mediator in the current process, and the country's leadership has transferred it to Washington.
"Tehran is transparent in its positions and demands, and it depends on the United States that if it is sincerely seeking to resolve issues and a breakthrough in negotiations, it must change its behavior," said the ambassador.
He said that everyone in the region and the world is waiting for the results of the talks, adding that Iran, while providing the necessary measures to defend the country, remained determined to follow the path of diplomacy.
The envoy emphasized that the United States must end its excessive and aggressive conduct and instead adopt an approach that respects the rights of Iran.
