Islamabad (People's Daily) - To celebrate the 75th anniversary of China-Pakistan diplomatic relations, a China-Pakistan food festival was held in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, at noon on Sunday. Nearly 400 people from both countries gathered at the Serena Hotel to enjoy delicious Chinese food and discuss the friendship between the two nations.

In his speech, Shi Yuanqiang, chargé d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, stated that for 75 years, the two nations have always stood together, forging an unbreakable and ironclad friendship. He noted that the food festival is a striking example of the cultural exchanges between China and Pakistan that fully demonstrates the diverse charm of the two cultures.

In his address, Zamir Ahmed Awan, a professor and founding chair of the Global Silk Route Research Alliance, noted that the China-Pakistan Food Festival provides a high-quality platform for cultural exchange between the two nations and is of great significance for promoting the continued development of friendly relations.

The festival event also featured videos showcasing the food cultures of the city of Tianjin and the provinces of Sichuan, Jiangsu, and Gansu. Chinese students in Pakistan gave performances including a guzheng solo, classical dance, and poetry recitation.
