TEHRAN, May 4 (Xinhua) -- The Strait of Hormuz will not return to its pre-war status, a senior Iranian lawmaker said Monday, adding that Tehran is not holding nuclear talks with Washington.

Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made the statements during a closed meeting with commission members, Iran's semi-official Mehr news agency reported.
